Scriptographer is a plugin for Adobe Illustrator that allows the users to extend and create tools for the graphical medium. Its also very powerful with the under pinnings of Java and the flexibilty of javascript as the script engine.

Lots of interesting projects will be coming from this sweat little application in the future.
I’m currently doing alot of work using this plugin (not for commercial - although it would be interesting to see if it could be used) - I’ve got database interaction, sound control and a 3d engine as just some possibilities what can be done.

I used a very early beta version for my final master’s project and it was sweet then - so this new updated version is awesome.

Architect Wolf Hibertz is using the carbon dioxide in sea water to create lime stone, all from the power of the sun. His ambitious island structures will be self sufficient, living on crab sticks and sea weed. Read more here.

Audiences are introduced to four computers in which software is installed. They are able to create communication data as GORI.Gardeners and those data created are used to grow GORI at community’s shared garden.

Haven’t had the chance to have a good gander yet but Iain Aitchison is showcasing a diverse and interesting set of work. A graduate from the masters programme at the Design Academy Eindhoven, a programme led by Droog design.

UnitedVisualArtists has some really beautiful work. UVA are able to seamlessly fuses graphic design and technolgy in to stunning pieces of art work and I am amazed by the depth of the work. If you’ve seen this before then you know what I mean and for those that have missed it like me are gutted it took so long.

Couple of things to note - americans eat to much pizza and to fellow members their site runs off word press, which means that we could think outside the box visually, but thats another day.
