It’s true to say in 2004 when I was finishing my degree the internet wasn’t so communitytastic as it is now. So today in 2007 it’s great to find 5oup, an online community for student artists, which on the surface looks like a healthy mix of graphics, fine art, interactive and illustration. Its graduation time right now and all the design blogs are featuring student portfolio’s, from those I have had a quick glance at - Mr.Robert Holmkvist’s graphic design abilites have impressed me the mostest!

Bureau for Visual Affairs have recently produced this simple flash portfolio site for photographer Andrew Hobbs. At a first glance the interface looks and feels pretty fresh, efficiently serving up detail views of the photographers work (might be nice if there was a full screen option?). The clever bit is when the site’s flash engine works out the size of your browser window and adjusts the presentation accordingly, nice.

In continuation of my recent ‘pleasing to the eye’ blogs posts, I would like to inform you that Jamie Kripke has assembled a fine portfolio of photography, I recommend you view it immediately.

…is a graphic designer from France. I have been making my way through her portfolio over the last week and my conclusion is that it’s brimming full of great graphics, typography and illustration - go and have a look.

David-Curtis.com is a personal project I have been working on with my friend Dave in a rather disjointed fashion over the last few months, launching tonight just in time for his big exhibition in Paris. GO Dave!

It’s about 9 months since my excellent foundation course in CSS/XHTML with the Nunz, I hope my code is getting better, there will be bugs for sure, especially for those on a PC - Hopefully sort these asap. After the extermination of bugs, next on the list is to pick a really clever person’s brain to help me introduce a slick photo gallery for the products.
