Straight out of 2027

Children of Men was one of my favorite films of 2006, so I was pretty happy to see that animation studio Foreign Office have compiled a showreel of the ad’s, films, displays screens etc. they produced for the film.

    nice find.
    made me think…

off the top of my head, which other films have had nicely thought out ads and screens,

Starship troopers (fantastic ads, slick interfaces to info devices)
“Total Recall” or “Sixth Day” “Re-Pet” infomercial and TV spots

    there must be more…

off the top of my head…how about Minority Report, there was some RFID action going on there right?

yeah the I remember the dept of precrime ads featuring the precogs in that..

and the whole customised advert of the future thing.. retinal scanning and all and interfaces.

in relation to minority report, i remember reading a wired magazine article about how Spielberg had invited a thinktank of scientists, futurologists and engineers to inform how technology worked and appeared in the film.

    this article mentions it
