Poke + Zoo Magazine + You Tube = ZOO TUBE of course!

In support of the forthcoming marketing campaign, a blog has been launched so we can follow the adventures of Steve and Richard, with cheeky previews of their activity via You Tube.

‘The Zoo marketing team have blagged a pile of cash to go and do cool stuff. Basically instead of spunking cash on a load of flashy tv ads thought it’d be more fun to take the money and use it to do something properly good instead.’

If you’ve read the book over a year ago you probably wont be disappointed. If you remember minor details then you might. My major gripes were just about those details.. nothing more. Good Film, decent Directing. music was characteristically Hans Zimmer.

I’d happily discuss what I thought was rubbish about the film in the comments, if anyone else goes to see it.

The suspect finds himself in a cozy suburban kitchen filled with snacks, only to discover the “Dateline” correspondent Chris Hansen and hidden cameras lying in wait. This is then all shown on NBC!!!!

So we are gonna see an ever increasing corporate interest in the web video community - no surprise there then. An interest which for the time being will neither harm or prevent us getting our fair share of shits and giggles out of ‘Youtube’ for the next few months I’m sure…

For those looking to start playing with something else, I have recently come across Jumpcut and Vimeo, both offering a similar experience model of explore, upload, edit, remix etc.
